Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of jonesbarbershopsd.com (the "Site") and our online booking system (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The service

Jones's Barbershop is a traditional barbershop located at 4783 Narragansett Ave, San Diego, CA 92107 ("Ocean Beach"). The Site lets you book appointments online, view our services, and contact us. Booking the Service does not create an attorney-client, doctor-patient, or fiduciary relationship of any kind.

2. Booking, cancellation, and no-shows

  • Booking. You can book online at /book or by calling the shop at (619) 500-9396. Bookings are confirmed by SMS and email (where you have provided each).
  • Reminders. You will receive a 24-hour and a customer-chosen pre-appointment reminder. These are transactional and cannot be opted out of while you have active bookings.
  • Cancellations and reschedules. Use the manage link in your confirmation message. Self-service cancel or reschedule is available up to 1 hour before your appointment. After that, please call or text the shop directly.
  • No-shows. If you do not show up for a booked appointment, we mark it as a no-show in your record. We may charge a no-show fee at our discretion.
  • Auto-block. Customers who accumulate multiple no-shows within a rolling 12-month window may be automatically blocked from booking online. If this happens, please call the shop — we will typically restore access after a conversation.
  • Waitlist. If your preferred slot is full, you can join a waitlist for a specific day. If a slot opens, we will text you a 15-minute claim window. Decline or fail to claim and the offer rolls over to the next person.

3. Payment

All services are cash only at the chair. The Site does not process payments online.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false contact information
  • Attempt to access another customer's bookings or account
  • Scrape, mirror, or systematically download Site content
  • Run automated tools against the booking form — we use bot detection, see the Privacy Policy
  • Use the Service to harass our staff or other customers

Violating any of the above may result in your booking access being blocked.

5. Intellectual property

The Site's design, copy, photography, and brand assets ("Jones's Barbershop," the wordmark, and related marks) are ours. You may not copy, redistribute, or use them for commercial purposes without permission. Customer reviews and user-submitted content remain yours — by submitting them you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to display them on the Site and in connection with the Service.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the booking system will be free of errors. Slot availability shown on the Site is not a guarantee of an appointment — your booking is confirmed only once you receive a confirmation message via SMS or email.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jones's Barbershop and its staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the most recent service.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jones's Barbershop, its staff, and its affiliates from any claim, damage, loss, or expense arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page with a new "Effective" date. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Contact

These Terms of Use were prepared as a good-faith starting point and have not been reviewed by legal counsel. We recommend consulting an attorney before relying on them.
